Pastitsio (similar to lasagne, but with macaroni)

450g macaroni
650g minced pork
5tbsp good olive oil
1/2 small onion (grated)
1tbsp butter
2 eggs
1 1/2 cup grated cheese (halloumi is best)
1ltr bechamel (white) sauce

Cook macaroni until al dente - drain, and put back in hot pan with butter, beaten eggs & cheese. Fry mince, onion, oil & seasoning to taste in a pan. Cover the bottom of an oven proof dish with bechamel, add half the pasta, then more bechamel, then 1/4 of the pasta, then all the meat mix, then the rest of the bechamel and pasta mixed together. Top with extra cheese & bake for 45mins at 170 degrees c
